a month agoI saw this pattern on another site originally and then located it here. I was looking for an afghan to do for a young friend and both the pattern and the colors spoke to me saying that Lauren will love this! I finished it up the other day. Overall this pattern is a fun and easy pattern to do. There were two problems I had and that was with a new stitch name that I could not find any description for so had to write to this site to get information on. Trying to figure out the exact way to start was nerve wracking as I kept crocheting and pulling it out until I finally got it figured out. And the same with doing the border. I feel there needs to be a small rewrite for each to make it clearer as to how to do each. Hence a 4-star rather than a 5. I would definitely recommend doing this afghan. I made mine slightly larger and have no regrets although I ran out of one of the colors, which happens to be discontinued but was able to still find it once more. I lacked 8" of finishing the border.Yes, I recommend this product.

I read the directions, but it is confusing at best. I looked on YouTube and found nothing. Do these stitches go by another name?
2 months ago1 AnswerA: Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the Catherine’s Wheel Throw. The Partial tr and Partial BPtr stitches can tend to be confusing at first because they are only partially worked. They’re not worked completely. This is because there are further steps included in the pattern instructions which will resolve the stitches. Partial tr – Yo twice, insert hook into st or space and pull up a loop, [yo and pull through 2 loops on hook] 2 times. To work a partial tr, you will begin the stitch just like a typical tr. However, instead of pulling through two loops three times, you will pull through two loops twice and be left with two loops on your hook from working the first partial tr (the loop you started with plus one more), and one additional loop will be added for each additional Partial tr worked. Partial BPtr – Yo twice, insert hook from the back, around in front of the post and out again to the back and pull up a loop, [yo and pull through 2 loops on hook] 2 times. The Partial BPtr is just like the Partial tr but worked around the back post instead. Once again, you will pull through two loops twice and be left with two loops on your hook. We hope this explanation helps you understand the Partial tr and Partial BPtr a bit more. We do have a video available for a similar blanket which uses Partial dc stitches instead of Partial tr stitches. If you want to watch it to see how this concept of partial stitches works, it might be helpful. https://youtu.be/55zC4d3g-TE?feature=shared&t=227
