Casting off, also known as binding off, is the process of putting a finishing edge on your EZ-knitting piece. It's important to cast off to ensure that your finished project does not unravel during wear, use or wash. Below, our Stitch Ambassador Mikey of The Crochet Crowd will show you how to cast off on your Ez-knitting project. Step 1 Starting at the side of your project farthest from the project yarn (in this example the far right side), pull the second last loop second last loop through the last loop. Step 2 Pull the next loop from your project through the last loop. Continue working across your project until you reach the final loop. Step 3 Cut your yarn working yarn two loops away from your project. Step 4 Cut the two loops at the base of the loops where they are attached creating a strand of yarn. Step 5 Feed the strand of yarn created through the final loop. Step 6 Feed the strand through a darning needle. Step 7 Stitch through a few stitches of your the stitchwork and then reverse the stitches three times. Step 8 Cut the remaining thread. Tips Mikey recommends stitching through the back of your stitchwork in a place where it won't be obvious that you've done some stitching. Also, be mindful not too pull to hard as you stitch to avoid warping your project. Also, be mindful not too pull to hard as you stitch to avoid warping your project.
