lesson 1

Let's get started! This week we'll begin our motif with a magic ring and build outward in the round using a series of simple stitches. If you're working up the Snowflake version, start with the White shade and finish off your square with Macaw. If you're opting for the Flower version, build your center with Retro Stripe. You'll begin making your petals in the White shade on Round 3

Note: The first half of this tutorial video focuses on the Snowflake version. For instructions on the Flower, fast forward to the second half.

lesson 2: Joining

Welcome back for another exciting week! Now that we've made all of our squares and woven in our ends, Sarah will be teaching us how to create a single crochet border in white for each of our squares and bringing them together using a slip stitch join.

lesson 3: Border

Our blankets are almost complete! This week we'll be learning how to create a lovely border to frame our new project. This simple bobble border resembles little snowballs when worked in the Snowflake version and flower buds when used for the Flower version.

Have another creative personalization idea? We love to see it! Make sure to post your project photos on the Yarnspirations Stitch Squad Group.
