I'm writing to let you know about a few of the most noteworthy projects I've spotted in current magazines that use our Red Heart yarns. Lacy Cable Vest: This stunning vest is on the cover of the summer Love of Knitting magazine! Designer Julie Farmer created cables that have some interesting lacy stitches twisted into the mix. The pattern is sized from small to 3X and made in Stitch Nation Washable Ewe. I'm definitely putting this pattern in my must-make file. This forgiving style will look good even if I actually lose (or heaven forbid, gain) weight this year. Easy Eyelet Vest: This vest is certainly one that will span the season's and be able to go from dress-to-casual occasions with a change in top and accessories. I know it sounds boring, but I'm thinking of making this in the Mercury (grey) shade of Stitch Nation Bamboo Ewe that will go with many colors of tops and scarves that I have.but the Periwinkle shown is really a nice color too. Designed by Sandi Prosser, you'll find it in the August issue of Knit €˜n Style. Travel Buddy Blanket: Here is a perfect gifting idea for babies and toddlers. This little ducky has a travel-size blanket attached that is small enough for little ones to carry wherever they go. It's great for trips to grandma's house! Crocheted in Red Heart With Love, it is very huggable, and washable too! You'll find the design by Debra Arch in the June issue of Crochet World. Playful Pillow Set: As the weather warms up, I often feel the need to brighten up the area I'm in while watching tv, knitting, crocheting or playing Words with Friends. This knit pillow set is perfect in cheery shades of Stitch Nation Bamboo Ewe. Can you picture these in your room maybe choose colors unique to your own style? You'll find this Ann Regis design in the July issue of Creative Knitting.
