Welcome to lesson 1 of the Steeked Cardigan Knit Along with Marly Bird. In this lesson, you will learn how to choose your size, how to read the pattern, how to do a gauge swatch in the round, and finally, you will get started on the yoke of the cardigan. Your homework will be to work through the entire yoke up to the division for the armholes. The items learned in this lesson will be useful throughout this 3 week knit along. Let’s get started

Lesson 2

Let's get started on lesson 2 of the Steeked Cardigan Knit Along with Marly Bird. In this lesson, you will continue to work on the progress you made from lesson 1. Now that the yoke is complete we can continue with the body of the cardigan. This portion of the knit along is easy peasy because it is worked in stockinette stitch in the round the whole way...with a few shaping stitches in there as well . Let’s jump in.

Lesson 3

knit Along with Marly

We're ready to wrap up with lesson 3 of the Steeked Cardigan Knit Along with Marly Bird. We are on the homestretch for the completion of this cardigan. This is the third and final lesson but it is a BIG ONE! First, you will finish the sleeves of the cardigan (with thumbholes). Then, the big finishes are made. You will steek the cardigan (yes, you are going to cut your knitting and it will be fabulous), then you will add the button band and buttons. Once that is complete, you will be done with the knitting! *Don’t miss the added information at the end of the video about the care of your cardigan. Time to finish this project!
