Hey There! I’m Brittany And B.Hooked is my little corner of the internet. I’m the voice, designer, and creator behind B.Hooked Crochet & Knitting. What began as a casual hobby more than 10 years ago in 2013, while I was working a full-time job, has turned into a real business that shares fun patterns with hundreds of thousands of people every month. After college, where I earned a degree in biology, I started working in a genetic laboratory. I enjoyed my job and the chance to keep learning new things. But it wasn’t my true calling. In 2017, I said goodbye to my full-time job to follow my dream of turning B.Hooked into the vibrant community I knew it could become. Now, I’m a passionate entrepreneur who built this business from the ground up (using my hands and hooks), because I want you to discover the joy of crochet and knitting too. I believe yarn can do more for you than just make a pretty thing. In this place, I’m always sharing projects that are fun, practical, and totally doable. My aim is to inspire you with patterns that are both enjoyable and easy to do, whether you’re just starting with crochet or knitting or if you’re already a pro. A Little Story About a Big Dream… One evening, I playfully told my husband, “I’m going to Hobby Lobby, and I’m coming home with a hobby.” Little did I know that this new hobby would change my life forever. Although I once enjoyed my job, crochet started occupying my every thought from that moment on. My dreams were filled with granny squares, double crochets, and chevrons. I taught myself everything I know today through a little website called YouTube. Soon enough, I began thinking about creating my own channel and sharing my creations with anyone who wanted to listen. The concept of B.Hooked brought new energy into my life. My biggest desire was to teach, inspire, and help people discover the same joy I found with yarn. The more I taught others, the more I learned myself, and the B.Hooked community grew in a way that was both exciting and humbling.
