By Handmade Charlotte When your addicted to sewing like I am you may need your supplies ready to travel. I was inspired by Earth Day-April 22 and decided to use up some scraps that were hanging around the studio. The stash bag is so super easy to make you will see success even if it’s your first project! We used Coats and Clark Dual Duty XP thread for the entire project. Supply List- 10×12 inch Scrap Fabric + Extra Fabric for Triangles Scissors Coats and Clark Dual Duty XP Thread 1 yard Ribbon Pins Sewing Machine Step 1- Cut out a rectangle 10×12 inches. This will be the main body of the bag. Continue cutting 15 triangles using a few different color variations. Step 2- Pin triangles to the center of your base piece. Start top stitching down one triangle and then another. Keep sewing them down until you have reached the bottom of the fabric. Turn fabric over with right side to the table. Iron a one inch channel across the top of the bag and then insert ribbon. Pin the fabric and top stitch the top channel. Step 3- Fold fabric in half and sew up the two remaining seams. Trim all loose thread,tie a nice bow,iron one more time. Your “Sewing Stash Bag” is complete! Load it up with Coats and Clark thread, a pair of scissors, pins, and pattern’s- and hit the road!
