I recently went on a weekend mountain trip to Blowing Rock, North Carolina with my family. Since I knew it was going to be cold (a freezing 8 degrees, that is), I crocheted a few Blissful Ear Warmers with Red Heart's new very awesome, incredibly amazing REFLECTIVE YARN. I honestly, can't get enough of this stuff! I'm such a big kid, so when seeing what this new yarn does when you take a flash photo, I just knew my nieces and nephew (and husband, mom, dad, aunt, cousins, brother, and sister-in-law) would LOVE it too! You should have seen their faces when I showed them my phone after taking the picture. Reflective yarn is a size 5, bulky yarn with added reflective thread wrap, making the yarn reflect light and aiding in nighttime visibility... and obviously showing up well in flash photography! Earwarmers, hats, wristers, dog leashes/collars and other accessories would be great gifts for those early-morning/late-night runners and dog-walkers. Safety first!
