We'll then move on to starting our socks, by working the toe section in single crochet as a spiral. Download Lesson 1 TIP If you prefer not to use the magic loop method, you can begin with a starting chain of 2 and work 10 sc into the 2nd chain from your hook. lesson 2: Cables Continued In the second week, we'll move on to the cabled section of the sock. You'll learn how to read a crochet chart, set up cables, and work the foot of your sock in a cabled motif. Once the cable pattern is established after this first round, it's intuitive to work! lesson 3: Finishing With A Cuff In our final week, we complete some of the most satisfying details on the sock – the heel and the cuff! We will begin by creating room for our afterthought heel, and then finish the leg and the post-stitch ribbing to create the cuff. Blocked fabric is slightly toothier, which helps hold in ends. Don't weave ends tightly, it could impair the fit.
