All of which mix and match to help you create your own equally unique project! Both the look and feel of Patons Norse is determined by its fiber content and how it’s made. Norse is a mix of acrylic, wool, and polyester, and while it’s very airy, it’s also very warm! To create this yarn, the fibers are blown into a strong core – not spun or plied. This creates that gorgeous heathered look, and makes it feel and look almost felted! I’ve had the opportunity to make a few projects with Patons Norse and I love the way the Norse blocks out – and how light it made my projects! I’ve also taken some time to try knitting with Norse. The yarn itself has very little stretch, though as a whole the ball has plenty of squish. I loved the way it worked up in my swatch, and the way it looks in knit patterns here on Yarnspirations. Patons Norse might be a little bit tricky for brand new crocheters and knitters, as the fuzz can obscure the finer details of your stitches. It’s also important to undo your work slowly with this yarn – don’t just rip it out, take it stitch by stitch. But if you’ve got the basics, it’s definitely a yarn to try.
