The pattern lends itself well to having a stepping texture or what I would like to say as a twirling affect as the hat progresses to the top. For me personally, I prefer hats that have space at the top. It gives me a nostalgic feeling of the cold winter months of my childhood. As soon as there’s a pom pom, I’m in love. I just cannot explain it. In the pattern provided, Yarnspirations also has a crochet diagram to follow so you can understand what is happening in the stitchwork. So while the pompom idea sold me, the crochet diagram has my hands quivering to dive right in. It’s only using a couple balls of Bernat Softee Chunky Yarn too. Definitely tres chic and affordable!
