skill level: intermediate CROCHET
Inspired by classic styling, this free pattern and accompanying video tutorials will teach you how to make crochet socks from the toe up! Stitched in Patons Kroy Socks, these attractive socks boast a striking cable motif on the front. Working in the round, you'll do crochet cables, magic loop, post-stitch ribbing, and more. Pick your favorite color, or customize a pair to surprise someone special. Instructions are offered for small, medium and large ladies sizes.
Follow along each week and stitch through the PATONS TOE-UP CABLED CROCHET SOCKS. Make sure to share your progress along the way on the Yarnspirations Stitch Squad Group, tag @Yarnspirations on Instagram and tag your posts with #YARNSPO.
lesson by week
lesson 1: Starting At The Toe
In our first week, we'll assemble the materials needed, and work up a gauge swatch to be sure we're on the right track! We'll then move on to starting our socks, by working the toe section in single crochet as a spiral.
lesson 2: Cables Continued
In the second week, we'll move on to the cabled section of the sock. You'll learn how to read a crochet chart, set up cables, and work the foot of your sock in a cabled motif.
