Free Sewing Mitten Christmas Stocking Pattern

Instructions are given for transforming a sweater into this charming stocking. The sweater pieces are stabilized with interfacing and stay stitching with Coats & Clark all purpose thread.

• One large sweater* (Note: The featured mitten is cut from only the sleeves of a single sweater.)
• ½ yd (45.5cm) holiday print lining fabric.
• ½ yd (45.5cm) heavy woven fusible interfacing.
• ½ yd (45.5cm) 3/8" (1cm) cord, for hanger.
• ¼ yd (24cm) dark green print.
• Scraps of cranberry fabric.
• Paper-backed fusible web.
• Polyester fiberfill.
• Pinking shears.
