Pattern Details
This is an intermediate sewing project that results in a sturdy, kid-size backpack. Sew with strong and durable Coats & Clark Dual Duty XP all-purpose thread. Choose bright colors and webbing and trim to accent the fabric.

  • Coats & Clark Surelock® serger thread (optional).
  • 5/8 yard (.57m) of print for outer backpack.
  • ½ yard (.46m) of cotton for lining Cotton batting.
  • 33" (84cm) of 1" (2.5cm) wide red webbing.
  • 33" (84cm) of 1" (2.5cm) wide turquoise webbing.
  • Piping or zipper foot for the sewing machine.
  • 6" (15cm) of 1" (2.5cm) wide yellow webbing.
  • 7" (18cm) of 1" (2.5cm) wide black webbing.
  • One pkg. Maxi piping 28" (71cm) of drawstring.
  • Two cord locks.
  • Two 1" (2.5cm) rectangle rings.
  • Two 1" (2.5cm) slider adjusters.
  • Chalk or an air soluble fabric marker.
