I saw this knitted Party Sweater pattern and thought how pretty it would be for the Christmas holidays. I am going to knit a medium - am making it for my mother, however if it comes out too big, it will be for me! How festive! It calls for 4 balls Red Heart Shimmer in Red and 1 ball Red Heart Boutique Ribbons in color Fire B. I did my gauge swatch first and off we go! The pattern begins each piece with an easy k1, p1 ribbing. The main parts of the sweater are P1 row, K1 row. Very easy knitting and doesn't take a lot of total concentration! Hard to say how long it took me because I only worked on it at lunch hours about 45 minutes each time and not every lunch hour during the week. If you were working on it constantly, it would go very quickly. Here I have completed all four pieces front/back and both sleeves. Time to put everything together. The roses were easy to make with Boutique Ribbons, just a matter of knitting a couple rows and pulling together with yarn to form into a rose. Finished product! The medium was a lot larger than I thought, would definitely make the small next time. Love the sparkles in the yarn. Will keep you warm, but not make you too hot.
