Crochet a Chic Bobble ScarfEasy
Hey there, Brittany here from B.Hooked!
Fall is my favorite time of year. I love everything about it – the colors, the textures, the pumpkin spice lattes and the opportunity to wear some of my projects. Scarves are a big part of my fall wardrobe so I’m always on the lookout for a great crochet scarf pattern.
For my scarf I chose the colorways plum, low tide and rice paper of Bernat Roving to coordinate with a new (favorite) sweater I found on clearance this summer. I love a good deal! The color match couldn’t be more perfect and now I have a full fall look I’ll be proud (and warm) to wear.
Now I’ll admit I don’t quite know how to wear a super long scarf, so I made a slight modification to the pattern.
I started off using 2 skeins of plum and working up the pattern as indicated. This brought me to about 24 inches and then I made the switch to low tide.
I worked with the shade low tide for another 2 skeins, doubling my scarf length to 48 inches. Now for the third and final color, rice paper.
Isn’t this color combination stunning? I’m so inspired by it!
I worked with rice paper following along with the pattern for a full skein and half of the second. I loved the asymmetrical aspects of the pattern and wanted to incorporate that into mine as well. In total, my scarf measures approximately 64 inches long – perfect for me and my height!
