Make Halloween Yarn Spiders!

All ready to make some creepy crawly crafts this Halloween? We’ll walk you through everything you need to know to make your own Pom Pom Spider army!

What you’ll need:

• 1 ball black Bernat Super Value yarn

• Pipe cleaners

• Googly eyes

• Hot glue gun

Step 1 – Make a Pom Pom

Wrap your yarn around the palm of your hand approximately 100 times and cut yarn. Slip the wrapped strands off your hand. Be sure to keep them all together and tidy! Tie a strand of yarn around the center of the wrapped yarn as tightly as possible, securing it with a knot.

Step 2

Cut through the looped ends of yarn on each side of the tie. Make sure you get each one! Trim all the excess yarn off of your spider pom pom until you’re happy with the edges.

Step 3

Cut your pipe cleaner into 4 equal length for your spiders legs! Will they be stubby and silly or long and lanky?

Step 4

Attach your pipe cleaner legs to the bottom of your pom pom by tying the legs in palce with the remaining strand of yarn, and secure with glue to make sure they aren’t going anywhere!

Step 5

Give your spider some knees! Bend the pipe cleaner legs to your desired angle so the spider can stand on it’s own.

Step 6

Glue your googly eyes on your spider! 1 eye, 2 eyes, 3 eyes, 4! Have fun and get creative with your spider!
