Paton Inspired Review

Skill Level:

Patons Inspired is a lovely new wool blend yarn, created with home decor projects in mind. But you can use this gorgeous bulky yarn on any project you like – with so many stunning colors, you won’t want to resist!

Patons Inspired yarn in different shades

Inspired features one of my favorite fiber blends, with 75% acrylic, 25% wool. This is just enough natural fiber to give this yarn the matte look of wool, without adding itch! The acrylic makes Patons Inspired strong, easy to care for, and very comfortable against the skin. Love that!

With a generous 222 yds per skein, Patons Inspired is a 5-bulky weight, so it’s great for bigger projects and quick makes. There are 26 colorways available, so you can create a palette to fit almost any décor style.

Having a handful great neutrals is important for home décor designs, and Patons Inspired delivers with several whites, grays, browns, and blacks. And there are rainbows too – Scarlet, Ginger, Honey Spice, Olive, Rich Teal, Navy, Violet Eggplant – soft or bold, you’ll find your perfect combo here.

And here on Yarnspirations, you’ll also find several beautiful knit and crochet patterns designed specifically for Patons Inspired! They’ve introduced this yarn with 5 amazing blanket designs, each of which features a unique look. The Patons Quarter Circle Crochet Blanket has a bold retro style, while the Patons Blocking Minimalist Knit Blanket is both timeless and modern.

I’ve enjoyed crocheting with Patons Inspired and designed the Striped Hourglass Basket for Yarnspirations featuring the Cream and Charcoal Heather colorways. I love the stitch definition combined with the wool-look, and modern cable shaping. This basket stands up on its own due to a double layer – and will fit any décor with custom color choices!

Patons Inspired is wonderful for home décor, but don’t let that limit you. It will be super cozy in beanies, scarves, and oversize sweaters – try it in your next bulky pattern and see just how lovely this yarn is on your hook or needles!
