I am confused about how to make the teeth. Should each tooth start with a 5 chain and each tooth joined with a slip stitch!

    Asked by: Shark teeth
Hi. The teeth are worked right onto the gums using Vintage White color. Each tooth is made separate and joined as you work around the gums. Once you have worked the original chain 5 for the first tooth you will now work into these 5 chain sts. with a sc, hdc, dc and tr. You will than skip the next 3 sc of the gums and work a slip st into the next sc. Repeat this process all the way around the gums. Teeth 1st rnd: With C, ch 5. 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. *1 hdc in next ch. 1 dc in next ch. 1 tr in next ch. Skip next 3 sc. Sl st in next sc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off. Hope this helps, happy crafting.

On the body we ended up with 40 stitches. Going on to the upper jaw it says to hdc in each of the next 40 stitches and leave the remainder uncorked. If I do 40 hdc there are no remains stitches. Is this supposed to say work hdc in the next 20 stitches?

    Asked by: Cspeeks
HI The body of the shark starts at the top and works to the bottom, when you get to the bottom (fin) you will 40 sts. After you have completed the 26th to 30th rnds the pattern than reads: -- Fasten off. -- Sew bottom seam, having beg of rnd at center back. Now go back to the beginning or top of your work which will be the upper jaw, you will have 80 sts to work with. -- Upper Jaw -- Lay piece flat, with front of work facing. Join A with sl st to top right corner. -- 1st row: Ch 2 (does not count as hdc). 1 hdc in each of next 40 hdc. Turn. Leave rem sts unworked. You will work with half of the sts at a time, leaving 40 sts for the other side of the jaw. Good luck.
