Question #1: after I join and do chain 1, do I count the chain stitch as the first stitch? I seem to count my 42 sc stitches every round, but always have more at the end of my row

    Asked by: Ulrike
Hi. For the hat there is a chain 1 at the beginning of every row, this chain 1 is not counted as a sts. Once you have completed all of the increases you will have 42 sts, continue working on these 42 sts. Good luck.

I do not understand the hat patterns when it comes to having completed 24 sc.. increasing by 6 sc and 2 a.c. every 3rd sc is way to much. HELP, do not understand

    Asked by: Ulrike
On the next increase round you will work 3 sc's and an increase and then the next increase round 4 sc's and an increase and so on....until you have the stitches required.
