Slouchy Crochet Cardigan is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the Cardigan All in all it is a great pattern, just not to easy for me to follow. Took me a bit but I was able to figure things on my own. I am only a beginner in reading and follow patterns so I blame it on my not knowing how or understanding the terms used.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from shape the neck Great pattern and I used the yarn, which I love. My only complaint is the pattern is not complete; the shape back neck only does the right side...figuring out now how to complete the left side. Anyone have this done yet?

I have done 8 pattern rows starting with the back, my whole piece and pattern is leaning to the right. I have checked and all stitches are correct, any suggestions to fix this? Thank you!

Charvela, I'd be interested in how your sweater turns out. I'm about to give up on this pattern because it looks like every piece is going to have a righward angle and not piece together straight. Wish I could post a picture, but not sure how to do that here

After making my chain of 81 for the back then making the first row of hdc ! It then says Turn 57 (63-67--73-79-87) sts. ? I don't understand? Wish there was a video on this?

    Asked by: Darlene
Hi. The number of sts listed at the end of the row - 57 (63-67-73-79-87) sts. - is letting you know that you have this many sts at the end of the 1st row. There is a video for this pattern at: http://thecrochetcrowd.com/crochet-slouchy-cardigan/

I want to add buttons to it to like like a long sweater. How to do that? I want to make this for my Mom on her Birthday.

    Asked by: Bhakti
Hi. There will be holes created because of the crochet stitch along the edge of the sweater, you could use these for button holes and add buttons to the opposite side. Or you could work a row of sc down the front edge and create loops for button holes. good luck.

Hello! Can you help me to understand The Armhole pattern in Slouchy Crochet Cardigan ? I've finnished the back of it & now am stuck at the Armhole!! The pattern is by Gayle Bunn, Thank-you Darlene

    Asked by: Darlene
Hi. Once the body of the sweater is completed you will shape the armholes. At the beginning and end of the row you will either slip st across sts or not work the last few sts. This will shape for the armhole and these sts will not be worked on again. Shape armholes: Next row: (RS). Sl st in each of first 4 (4-4-6-6- 8) sts. Ch 2. 1 hdc in each st to last 4 (4-4-6-6-8) sts. Turn. Leave rem sts unworked. Good luck.

on written pattern for shaping the sleeve, I am at the part that tells me to increase 1 st on the end of 4th rows. My question is do I still do the increases from rows 1 to 4 also. To finish the sleeve do I just do the rest in the hdc row to pattern row

    Asked by: Jane59
Hi. When the pattern reads: Inc 1 st each end of following 4th rows until there are 49 (51-51-55- 55-57) sts, taking inc sts into pat as established. You will only increase on the 4th row, work even with no increases on the other row.

How long is the sleeve really supposed to be before the last 8 rows? Seems the sizing goes backward...

    Asked by: bbvercher
Hi. The finished sleeve measurements are on the last page of the pattern. Sleeve length does not change even though the body sizes are larger. The total finished length of the sleeve is between 19 and 20 inches for all sizes.
