I am in Australia and I can't obtain this yarn here. When I try and purchase it overseas the companies will not ship to Australia. Is there an equivalent yarn that I could use? I want to make this for my daughter.

Hi. Patons Alpaca Blend is a #5 bulky weight yarn. 15 sts and 20 rows = 4".
Any yarn in that weight should work for this pattern. Sorry we do not have a list of products available in Australia.

What does it mean in the pattern where it tells you to "cast off four stitches" at the beginning of a row? I'm an advanced beginner knitter and have never heard this one before. Please advise. Thanks!

Hi. Cast off 4 sts at the beginning of the row means to cast off those first 4 sts, this will create the pointed edge.
