HELP! Sts not adding up in 2nd row of flower border pattern. Making size 2, I should have 111sts at the start of 2nd row. Instructions are K5.*M1.K4. Rep from * to last 2sts.K2.=137sts. I end up with only 1st at end of row to knit and only 133 sts total.

Thank you so much for your reply. That is exactly where I went wrong - the M1 technique I was using was incorrect. Now to tackle the MB’s. Wish me luck!

Adorable-- My question is: (I do have experience with stranded Fair Isle) are you suggesting catching the strand in flower border, while working in purl? Or to carry the green strand across 5 stitches? I want 2 catch it in the 3rd st , don't know how

Hi. We do not recommend carry your yarn across the back of your work any more than 3 to 4 sts. There are lots of videos on line which will show you how to carry the yarn when purling.
