I'm struggling with this pattern, trying to shape the heel. The seams just don't want to meet up correctly; I'm left with a big nobby corner. Suggestions anyone?

Hi. Below is some additional info for the Family Slippers, hope this helps.
Shape heel: Next 2 rows: TAKE NOTE THAT THIS ROW IS WORKED TWICE LEAVING YOU WITH STS AT EACH END UNWORKED.
Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to last 6 (6-8- 8-8-8) sc. Turn. Leave rem sts unworked. 6 (6-7-9-9-9) sc rem.
YOU WILL NOW ONLY BE WORKING WITH THE CENTER STS, DECREASING AT EACH SIDE.
Next row: Ch 1. Sc2tog over first 2 sc. 1 sc in each sc to last 2 sc. Sc2tog over last 2 sc. Turn.
Next row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each st across. Turn.
WORK THE LAST 2 ROWS UNTIL YOU ONLY HAVE 2 OR 3 STS LEFT.
Rep last 2 rows until 2 (2-3-3-3-3) sts rem. Fasten off. Sew side seams of heel to body of Slipper.
THIS PIECE WILL BE IN THE CENTER BACK OF THE SLIPPER, YOU WILL FOLD IT UP AND SEW ONE SIDE TO EACH SIDE OF THE MAIN SECTION OF THE SLIPPER.
hope this helps, happy crafting.
