Crochet Baby Jacket Set is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Simple I found this pattern being crocheted on You Tube. I was going to knit but I haven't been doing that even a month so while the results were ok it was what I was looking for to give my cousin and her husband. I have been crocheting most of my life but I am no expert by any stretch of the imagination. I have only ever made blankets because they take the one stich I know and they are straight. So I was nervous but the video made it look easy and I saw how simple the stich was. I was able the finish in 8 hours and I finished the hat in 3. It probably would not take a more advanced person that long but I did it in one day and the results were BEAUTIFUL! I love it! Everyone thought it was SUPER CUTE! I was able to give it to her to take home the next day. Yippi!

I am new to crochet and am having a hard time understanding this part on the sweater-88 (112-112) dc and 4 ch-1 sps at end of 6th (8th-8th) row. I don't know what that is wanting me to do. Please explain. Thanks!

    Asked by: jenlov
Hi. The crochet baby jacket set has directions for 3 sizes. You only need to pay attention to the size you are making. If you are making the smallest size (newborn) you will work with the first number. working the 2nd to 6th rows, ending on the 6th row with 88 dc and 4 ch-1 spaces If you are making the 3 month size you will work - 2nd to 8th rows - ending on the 8th row with 112 sts and 4 ch-1 spaces. The largest size 6/12 months - 2nd to 8th rows - ending on the 8th row with 112 sts and 4 ch-1 spaces. 2nd to 6th (8th-8th) rows: Ch 3. *1 dc in each dc to ch-1 sp of next V-st. V-st in ch-1 sp of next V-st. Rep from * 3 times more. 1 dc in each dc to end of row. Turn. 88 (112-112) dc and 4 ch-1 sps at end of 6th (8th-8th) row.

When making the hat in this pattern, it seems there's an error in the 6th round. If I follow the pattern the round would have 55 stitches not 50. Which is correct? If 50 what would be the correct number of hdc and 2hdc?

    Asked by: Nnnik
Hi. The 6th rnd is different for each size, which size are you making?

Can I substitute the yarn for caron simply soft, also what it the measurement in inches before you stop increasing

    Asked by: Mariamb123
You could make this project with the Caron Simply Soft. You will have to change your hook size. I would work a sample swatch to check your gauge.

I want to make the hat for a set of preemie twins but the pattern has color for the hook but that doesn't tell me what size, so I was wondering if you could assist me with that information

    Asked by: Goofy girl
Hi. This hat pattern starts at a new born size, it is likely going to be to large for a preemie. We do have a number of hats designed for preemie babies, they are available at: http://www.yarnspirations.com/catalogsearch/result/?cat=&q=preemie
