    Reviews & Ratings
Basic Four Needle Mittens - Medium Worsted is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from badly written pattern This has to be the most confusing and incorrect pattern I have ever tried. I have made 8 pairs of mitts and 1 pair of gloves and thought I wanted to explore more basics to get the shaping of thumbs/fingertips of why and when to use which. This book is written with "assumed" knitting knowledge... that the beginner is actually an intermediate knitter, that the beginner has memorized the generic industry standards of knitting techniques.... punctuation is missing many pages, no reference to the numbered pics, instructions do not match the pics in most of the book. Very disappointed in Yarnspirations that their reprint of this older book was not gone through and corrected. No key in the book for special stuff, again this is where the "assumed" knitting knowledge comes into play. The quantity of wool required is not set per pattern but rather set per ball of yarn from patons. Each mitt size will require a diff amount of wool. I've been knitting 3 yrs now and this by far was one of the biggest puzzle of patterns trying to understand what they actually meant for you to do.
