Abbreviations

KB1 = Knit next stitch into back loop.

MB = [(K1. yfwd) twice. K1] all in next stitch. 5 sts. Turn. P5. Turn. ssk. K1. K2tog. Turn. P3. Turn. Sl1. K2tog. psso. 1 stitch remains. Bobble complete.

P2tog = purl two stitches together

P2togtbl = purl 2 stitches together through back loops

pat = pattern

PB1 = Purl into back of next stitch.

psso = pass slipped stitch over

rep = repeat

Sl1 = Slip next stitch knitwise.

st(s) = stitch(es)

T2B = Slip next stitch onto cable needle and leave at back of work. K1tbl, then P1 from cable needle.

T2F = Purl into back of 2nd stitch on left-hand needle, then knit into front of 1st stitch, slipping both stitches off needle together.

yfwd = yarn forward (makes 1 extra stitch)

GAUGE

18 sts and 24 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.

INSTRUCTIONS

Stripe Pat Work 10 rows of each color in following sequence: A, B, C, D, E, F, work 4 rows of MC.
These 64 rows form Stripe Pat.
Strip A (make 1):
With MC, cast on 45 sts.
Knit 7 rows (garter st), noting 1st row is WS.
Proceed in Stripe Pat as follows:
1st row: (RS). Knit.
2nd row: K1. Purl to last 7 sts. K7. **First 2 rows of Stripe Pat are complete.
Keeping cont of Stripe Pat, rep last 2 rows until work from beg measures approx 61½ ins [156.5 cm], ending with 10 rows of any color.
With MC, knit 7 rows (garter st). Cast off knitwise (WS).**
Strip B(make 1): With MC, cast on 45 sts.
Knit 7 rows, noting 1st row is WS.
Proceed in Stripe Pat as follows:
