1st row: (WS). Knit.
2nd row: K27. Sl1. K2tog. psso. Place marker on last st just made. K27.
3rd row: Knit.
4th row: Knit to 1 st before marked st. Sl1. K2tog. psso. Place marker on last st just made. Knit to end of row.
Rep last 2 rows once more. 51 sts.
***1st row: (WS). With B, purl.
