This vest will keep you warm, but not over-heated, just enough to take the chill off - and it's easy to knit to boot. Sizes 28-62" bust (71-157.5 cm). Shown in Bernat Alpaca #93011 (Wheat). 6.5 mm (US 10.5) knitting needles.

Back: Cast on 63 (77-91-105-119) sts.
1st row: (RS). [(P1. K1) 4 times. K6] 4 (5-6-7-8) times. (P1. K1) 3 times. P1.
2nd row: [(K1. P1) 4 times. P6] 4 (5-6-7-8) times. (K1. P1) 3 times. K1.
Rep last 2 rows for 20 ins [51 cm], ending with a 2nd row.
Shape shoulders: Cast off 8 (10-13-16-19) sts beg next 4 rows. Leave rem 31 (37-39-41-43) sts on a st holder
Left Front: Cast on 32 (36-44-50-58) sts

Cont even in ribbing for 7 ins [18 cm]. Cast off in ribbing.
Place markers on side edges of Back and Fronts 8 (9-10-10-10) ins [20.5 (23-25.5-25.5-25.5) cm] down from shoulder seam. Sew side seams from cast on edge to markers
Ties (make 2). Cast on 60 sts. Cast off. Sew ties to front edges as shown in picture.
