Abbreviations

Approx = approximately

K = knit

k2tog = Knit next 2 stitches together.

M1 = Make 1 stitch by picking up horizontal loop lying before next stitch and knitting into back of loop.

pat = pattern

rep = repeat

RS = right side

ssk = Slip next 2 stitches knitwise one at a time. Pass them back onto left-hand needle, then knit through back loops together.

GAUGE

17 sts and 23 rows = 4" [10 cm] in stocking st with Bernat® Super Value™.

INSTRUCTIONS

Note: Bernat® Fleurettes™ has long smooth sections and short looped sections approx 1" [2.5 cm] long. Skip looped sections, pulling them to front of work.
With A, cast on 171 sts loosely. Do not join. Working back and forth across needle in rows, proceed as follows:
Knit 2 rows (garter st), noting first row is WS.
Next row: (WS). K3. *M1. K12. Rep from * to end of row. 185 sts. Break A.
Proceed in pat as follows:
1st row: (RS). With B, K3. *(K2tog) twice. (yo. K1) 3 times. yo. (ssk) twice. K1. Rep from * to last 2 sts. K2.
2nd row: K2. Purl to last 2 sts. K2.
3rd to 10th rows: Rep 1st and 2nd rows 4 times more. Break B.
11th row: With A, K3. *K2tog. K11. Rep from * to end of row. 171 sts.
12th and 13th rows: Knit.
14th row: K3. *M1. K12. Rep from * to end of row. 185 sts. Break A.
15th to 24th rows: With C, rep 1st and 2nd rows 5 times more. Break C.
25th to 28th rows: Rep 11th to 14th rows.
29th to 42nd rows: Rep 1st to 14th rows.
**43rd to 84th rows: Rep 15th to 28th rows 3 times more.
85th to 126th rows: Rep 1st to 14th rows 3 times more.**
