GAUGE

10 sts x 20 rows = 4" [10 cm]. in garter st. Motif = 6" [15 cm] square. Motif = 6¾ ins [17 cm] square.

INSTRUCTIONS

Motif A (make 20).
**With A, cast on 33 sts.
1st row: (WS) Knit.
2nd row: K15. Sl1. K2tog. psso. Pm (place marker on last st). K15.
3rd row: Knit.
4th row: K14. Sl1. K2tog. psso. Pm. K14.
5th row: Knit.
6th row: Knit to 1 st before marked st. Sl1. K2tog. psso. Pm.
Knit to end of row.
7th row: Knit.
Last 2 rows form pat.**
Cont in pat (working 1 less st before marked st every alt row) until 3 sts rem, in the following color sequence: 8 rows B, 8 rows C, 7 rows A.
Next row: (WS). With A, Sl1. K2tog. psso. Fasten off.
Motif B (make 16).
Work from ** to ** as given for Motif A.
