With MC, cast on 52 (60-68-92) sts. Divide evenly among 3 needles. Join in rnd, being careful not to twist sts. Place marker on first st for beg of rnd.

Rep last rnd of (K2. P2) ribbing 4 times more.
Knit in rnds until work from beg measures 3 (-4-) ins [7.5 (9-10-11.5) cm].
Shape top: 1st rnd:*K11 (13-15-21). K2tog. Rep from * around. 48 (56-64-88) sts.
2nd and alt rnds:Knit.
3rd rnd:K4 (5-6-9). K2tog. Rep from * around. 40 (48-56-80) sts.
