1st to 4th rows: MC.
5th to 6th rows: B.
7th to 10th rows: A.
11th to 12th rows: B.
13th to 16th rows: MC.
These 16 rows form Stripe Pat.

With MC and smaller needles, cast on 57 (61-67-69-79-89) sts.
1st row: (RS). K1. *P1. K1. Rep from * to end of row.
2nd row: P1. *K1. P1. Rep from * to end of row.
Rep last 2 rows of (K1. P1) ribbing for 3" [7.5 cm], ending on a 2nd row.
Change to larger needles and proceed in stocking st for 4 rows, ending on a purl row. First 4 rows of Stripe Pat are complete.
Keeping cont of Stripe Pat, cont in stocking st until work from beg measures approx 16½" [42 cm], ending on a 4th row of Stripe Pat.
