MATERIALS

Super Value (197 g/7. oz;389 m/426 yds)
Main Color (MC) Natural (07414) 1
Sizes 4 mm (U.S. 6) and 5 mm (U.S. 8) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
Mosaic (100 g/3.5 oz;191 m/209 yds)
Contrast A Optimistic (44609) 1
Sizes 4 mm (U.S. 6) and 5 mm (U.S. 8) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.

GAUGE

18 sts and 24 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.

INSTRUCTIONS

Cast on 76 sts.
Knit 5 rows (garter st), noting first row is WS.
Proceed in pat as follows:
1st row: (RS). Knit.
2nd row: K2. Purl to last 2 sts. K2.
3rd row: K2. *(K2tog) 3 times. (yo. K1) 6 times. (K2tog) 3 times. Rep from * to last 2 sts. K2.
th row:4 Knit.
These 4 rows form pat.
Cont in pat until work from beg measures approx 61 ins [155 cm] ending on a 3rd row of pat.
Knit 4 rows (garter st). Cast off knitwise (WS).
Pom-pom: Holding A, B and C tog, wind yarn around 4 fingers 50 times. Tie tightly in the middle and leave a long end for attaching to Hat. Cut loops at both ends and trim to smooth round shape. Sew to top of Hat.
