INSTRUCTIONS

2tr-cl = [(yo) twice and draw up a loop, (yo and draw through 2 loops on hook) twice] 2 times, yo and draw through remaining 3 loops on hook.

Set-up row (WS): 2 dc in 5th ch from hook (counts as dc, miss next ch, 2 dc), skip next ch, 2 dc in next ch, *ch 2, skip next 3 ch, (sc, ch 2, sc) in next ch, ch 2, skip next 3 ch, 2 dc in next ch, skip next ch, 2 dc in next ch; rep from * to last 2 ch, skip next ch, dc in last ch, turn.
Row 1 (RS): Ch 3 (counts as dc), (2 dc in sp between next 2-dc group) twice, *skip next ch-2 sp, [(2tr-cl, ch 1) twice, 2tr-cl] in next ch-2 sp, skip next ch-2 sp, (2 dc in sp between next 2 dc-group) twice; rep from * across, ending with dc in top of turning ch, turn.

Work in Vertical Lace Pat until Back measures 18”/45.5cm, ending with a RS row.

Sleeves: With 2nd skein of yarn, ch 22 (22, 22, 32, 32), attach to top of ch 3 at opposite side of Back to working yarn and fasten off.

Work in Vertical Lace Pat until Left Front measures 2 rows less than Back to Sleeve shaping, ending with a RS row.

Shape neck and sleeve

Row 1 (WS): Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in sp between next 2-dc group, 2 dc in sp between next 2-dc group, pat to end of row, turn.

Row 2: Pat to last group of 2 dc, 2 dc in sp between last 2-dc group, skip next dc, dc in top of turning ch, turn. 
With 2nd skein of yarn, ch 22 (22, 22, 32, 32), attach to top of ch 3 at opposite side of Left Front to working yarn and fasten off.

FINISHING

Sew shoulder and side seams.

Lower and neck edging: With RS of work facing, join yarn with sl st at lower edge of right side seam, ch 1, work sc evenly across Right Front, up and around neck edge, Left Front and Back, working 3 sc in corners; join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.

Button and Buttonhole Band: Place markers for 3 buttonholes on Right Front edge, having top button ½”/1 cm below first front neck decrease, bottom buttonhole 11”/28 cm below first buttonhole and remaining buttonhole centered between.

Row 1 (RS): Join yarn with sl st in corner sc of lower edge of Right Front, ch 1, (work sc evenly to buttonhole marker, ch 2, skip next 2 sc) 3 times, sc evenly to opposite corner of Left Front, turn.

Row 2: Ch 1, (sc evenly to next ch-2 sp, 2 sc in next ch-2 sp) 3 times, sc to end of row. Fasten off.
Sew buttons in position on Left Front to correspond to buttonholes.

Sleeve edging: With RS of work facing, join yarn with sl st at sleeve seam, ch 1, work sc evenly around Sleeve edge; join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
