Size U.S. G/6 (4 mm) crochet hook. Matching sewing thread and sewing needle.

GAUGE

Hook size and gauge is variable due to special technique required to crochet this ruffle yarn.

INSTRUCTIONS

Note: Photo tutorial available in downloadable PDF.
 
1. 1st row: Working across top edge of ribbon with large spaces only, skip first 7 sps for foundation row.
2. Insert hook from front to back into next 2 sps. 
3. Draw strand of second sp through first sp. 1 loop rem on hook. 
4. (Insert hook from front to back  into next sp.
5. Draw strand of sp through loop on hook) twice - counts as beg ch 3.
6. Turn work.
7. 2nd row: Wrap strand of next sp twice around hook - yoh twice.
8. Insert hook from front to back into next sp of foundation row.
9. Insert hook from back to front into next sp of working yarn.
10. Yoh and draw through sp of foundation row – 4 loops on hook.
11. (Insert hook from back to front into next sp of working yarn.
12. Yoh and draw through 2 loops on hook) 3 times
13. 1 loop rem on hook – 1 dc made.
14. 1 dc in each of next 5 sps of foundation row.
15. Turn work.
16. 3rd row: (Insert hook from back to front into next sp of working section.
17. Yoh and draw through loop on hook)times - ch 3 made.
18. 1 dc in each of next 6 dc (rep steps 16 to 18, working in top of dc). Turn work. 
19Rep last row until both 2 balls of yarn have been used. Secure last loop with sewing thread.
