These slippers are adorable button-eyed sock monkeys that keep feet warm and fun. An easy pattern to knit in three sizes spanning shoe size 5-10, kids of all ages will love these cozy slippers. Shown in Patons Classic Wool.

19 sts and 25 rows = 4" [10 cm] in stocking st.
The instructions are written for smallest size. If changes are necessary for larger sizes the instructions will be written thus ( ). Numbers for each size are shown in the same color throughout the pattern. When only one number is given in black, it applies to all sizes.
Beg at heel, with MC, cast on 4 sts.
Work 2 rows in stocking st and inc 1 st each end of needle on 3rd and every following 4th row twice more. 10 sts. Cont even for 3" [7.5 cm] in total, ending with a purl row.
Cast on 11 (12-13) sts beg next 2 rows. 32 (34-36) sts.
Cont even in stocking st until work from cast on row measures 4" [10 cm], ending with a purl row.
Inc 1 st each end of needle on next and following alt row once more. 36 (38-40) sts.
Cast on 6 sts beg next 2 rows. 48 (50-52) sts. Place markers at each end of last row. Break MC.
With A, cont even in stocking st until work from last cast on row measures 2 (3¾-5½)" [5 (9.5-14) cm], ending with a purl row.
Shape top: 1st row: (RS). K0 (2-4). *K2tog. K6. Rep from * to end of row. 42 (44-46) sts.
2nd and alt rows: Purl.
3rd row: K0 (2-4). *K2tog. K5. Rep from * to end of row. 36 (38-40) sts.
5th row: K0 (2-4). *K2tog. K4. Rep from * to end of row. 30 (32-34) sts.
With B, cont in same manner, dec 6 sts on every following alt row to 12 (14-16) sts. Break B, leaving a long end. Thread yarn through rem sts. Pull tightly.
Edging: Sew 2 heel side seams.
With RS of work facing and MC, beg at right marker, pick up and knit 46 sts along Slipper opening, ending at left marker.
Next row: P2. *K2. P2. Rep from * to end of row.
Next row: K2. *P2. K2. Rep from * to end of row.
Rep last 2 rows 3 times more. Break MC.
With A, rep last 2 rows once more. Cast off loosely.
Sew top seam.
Ears (make 4).
With A, cast on 6 (6-8) sts.
1st row: (WS). *Inc 1 st in next st. Rep from * across. 12 (12-16) sts.
Knit 4 rows. Break A.
With 2 strands of MC, knit 6 rows.
Next row: (RS). K2tog. Knit to last 2 sts. K2tog.
Rep last row twice more.
Cast off rem 6 (6-8) sts.
Felt Slippers and Ears following “How To Felt” Instructions (see pages 56 and 57). Try on wet Slippers and shape to required measurements. Dry away from heat and direct sunlight. If desired, place paper wrapped in plastic inside Slippers to help shape them while drying. Sew on Ears. Sew on buttons for eyes.
Optional: Sew on non-slip sole.
