MATERIALS

Contrast A () 10
Contrast B () 14
Size 5 mm (U.S. H or 8) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.

GAUGE

13 sc and 14 rows = 4 ins [10 cm].

INSTRUCTIONS

Panel A (make 2).
With B, ch 141.
1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of ch. Turn. 140 sc.
2nd row: Ch 1. Working in back loops only, 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
Rep last row until work from beg measures 7 ins [18 cm], ending with a WS row. Fasten off.
Panel B (make 3).
With A, ch 26.
1st row: (WS). 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook. 1 hdc in each ch to end of ch. Turn. 24 hdc.
2nd row: Ch 2 (does not count as st). 1 dcfp in each st to end of row. Turn.
3rd row: Ch 2 (does not count as st). 1 dcbp in each st to end of row. Turn.
Rep last 2 rows until work from beg measures same length as Panel A, ending with a WS row. Fasten off.
Join Panels in following sequence: B, A, B, A, B.
Edging: 1st rnd: With RS of work facing, join A with sl st in any corner of Blanket. Ch 1. Work in sc evenly around Blanket, having 3 sc in corners. Join with sl st to first sc. Turn.
2nd and 3rd rnds: Ch 1. Working in back loops only, 1 sc in each sc to end of row, having 3 sc in corners. Join with sl st to first sc. Turn.
Fasten off at end of 3rd rnd.
