For ease in working, circle all numbers pertaining to your size.

Note: Jacket is worked in one piece to armholes.

BODY
With A, ch 54 (58-62).
**1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. *Ch 1. Skip next ch. 1 sc in next ch. Rep from * to end of chain. Turn. 53 (57-61) sts.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in first sc. *1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Ch 1. Skip next sc. Rep from * to last 2 sts. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. 1 sc in last sc. Turn.
3rd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in first sc. *Ch 1. Skip next sc. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Rep from * to last 2 sts. Ch 1. Skip next sc. 1 sc in last sc. Turn.**
Rep 2nd and 3rd rows for pat twice more, then rep 2nd row once, joining B at end of last row (8 rows have been worked).
With B, cont in pat until 6 (6½-7)" [15 (16.5-18) cm] total length, ending on a WS row.

Divide for armholes: Next row: Ch 1. Pat across 13 (13-15) sts (Right Front). Turn. Leave rem sts unworked.
Cont even in pat across Right Front until armhole measures 2½ ( 2½-3)" [6 (6-7.5) cm], ending on a WS row. Fasten off.

Shape neck: Next row: (RS). Skip first 5 (5-6) sts. Join B with sl st to next st. Ch 1. 1 sc in same sp as last sl st. Pat to end of row. Turn.
Next row: Ch 1. Pat to last 2 sts. Sc2tog. Turn.
Next row: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Pat to end of row. Turn.
Cont even in pat across rem 6 ( 6-7) sts until armhole measures 4½ (4½-5)" [11.5 (11.5-12.5) cm]. Fasten off.

With RS facing, skip next 2 (4-2) sts. Join B with sl st to next st. Ch 1. 1 sc in same sp. Pat across next 22 (22-26) sts (Back). Turn.

With RS facing, skip next 2 (4-2) sts. Join B with sl st to next st. Ch 1. 1 sc in same sp. Pat to end of row (Left Front). Turn.
Work to correspond to Right Front, reversing all shapings.

SLEEVES
With A, ch 18 (18-22).
Work from ** to ** as given for Body. 17 (17-21) sts.
Rep 2nd and 3rd rows for pat once more.
Next row: Ch 1. 2 sc in 1st sc (inc made). Pat to last st. 2 sc in last st (inc made). Join B. Break A. Turn. (6 rows have been worked).

With B, cont in pat, inc 1 sc at each end of following 3rd rows twice more, taking inc sts into pat. 23 (23-27) sts.

Cont even in pat until Sleeve measures 6 (7-8)" [15 (18-20.5) cm], ending on a WS row. Fasten off.
Place markers on side edges 1 (2-1) row(s) down from final row.

FINISHING
Sew shoulder seams.
Front and neck edging: (RS). Join A with sl st at lower corner of Right Front. Ch 1. Work sc evenly up Right Front, around neck edge and down Left Front, working 3 sc in corners of neck edge. Fasten off.

Sew Sleeve seams to markers. Sew in sleeves, placing row(s) above markers along unworked sts at armholes for square armholes. Sew on buttons evenly spaced to Right Front for Him or Left Front for Her, noting buttonholes are created in ch-1 sps of pat and Fronts will overlap approx 1" [2.5 cm].
