Contrast C Robins Egg (01215) 1
Contrast D Soft Ecru (01004) 1
Sizes U.S. G/6 (4 mm) and U.S. H/8 (5 mm) crochet hooks or size needed to obtain gauge. Stuffing. Optional: Assorted colored beads for 'sprinkles'.

GAUGE

 15 sc and 16 rows = 4" [10 cm].

INSTRUCTIONS

Note: Each Cupcake uses 3 different shades. Choose any combination from the shades listed.
 
Beg at base of Cupcake, with Color 1, ch 2.
1st rnd: Ch 1. 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join with sl st to first sc. 6 sc.
2nd rnd: Ch 1. 2 sc in each sc around. Join with sl st to first sc. 12 sc.
3rd rnd: Ch 1. *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in next sc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to first sc. 18 sc.
4th rnd: Ch 1. *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to first sc. 24 sc.
5th rnd: Ch 1. Working in back loops only1 sc in each sc around. Join with sl st to first sc.
6th to 8th rnds: Ch 3. (does not count as st.) (1 dcfp around next st. 1 dcbp around next st) 12 times. Join with sl st to top of 1st dcfp.
9th rnd: Ch 1. Working in front loops only, 1 sl st in each st around. Join with sl st to first sl st. Fasten off.
10th rnd: Join Color 2 with sl st to any rem back loop of 8th rnd. Ch 1. Working in back loops only, *Sc2tog. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. Rep from around. Join color 3 with sl st to first sc. 18 sts.
11th rnd: With Color 3, ch 1. Working in both loops, *2 sc in each of next 2 sts. 1 sc in next st. Rep from * to last st. 2 sc in last st. Do not join. 30 sts.
12th rnd: Working in back loops only*Sc2tog. 1 sc in each of next 3 sc. Rep from around. Do not join. 24 sts. Stuff Cupcake.
13th rnd: Working in back loops only*Sc2tog. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. Rep from around. Do not join. 18 sts.
14th rnd: Working in back loops only*Sc2tog. 1 sc in next st. Rep from around. Do not join. 12 sts.
15th to 17th rnds: Working in back loops only, *Sc2tog. Rep from * around. Do not join. 3 sts at end of 17th rnd.
Fasten off.
 
Icing Edging
1st rnd: Join Color 3 with sl st to first rem front loop of 12th rnd. Working in front loops only, sl st in each sc around, working in a spiral continuously to top of Cupcake.
Fasten off.
 
Optional: Sew beads to Icing for 'sprinkles'.
