 FINISHING

Note: Strap must stretch to fit. Before gluing Strap and Side Tabs into position, try on flip flop to ensure correct fit.

Remove rubber toe strap from flip flop.

Thread yarn tails of Strap onto tapestry needle and insert into remaining toe hole of flip flop sole, leaving approx ó” [1 cm] length of yarn ends above top of sole to insert toes comfortably. Knot yarn tails tightly and trim ends noting that knot must be large enough to prevent slipping through hole on sole. Gather knot neatly into hole at bottom of sole. If necessary, trim hole at bottom of sole to allow room to gather knot so that it will be flush with bottom edge. Glue knot into position with glue gun.

Wrap Side Tab around each side of Strap.

Thread yarn tail ends onto tapestry needle and insert into side hole of flip flop sole. Knot yarn tails tightly and trim ends noting that knot must be large enough to prevent slipping through hole on sole.

Gather knot neatly into remaining hole at bottom of sole and if necessary, trim as for toe hole. Glue knot into position with glue gun.
