GAUGE

Rounds 1–4 measures about 4"/10cm diameter.

In double crochet, 12 sts and 7 rows = 4"/10cm.

Gauge is not critical for this project.

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTES

1. Blanket is worked in joined rounds. Only turn at the end of the first few rounds as instructed. FPdc stitches should always be worked on the RS of the piece.

2. To change color when joining a round; insert hook in first stitch of round, yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook. Fasten off old color.

 

BLANKET

With A, ch 4; join with sl st in first ch to form a ring.

Round 1 (RS): Ch 1, 8 sc in ring; join with sl st in first sc, TURN—8 sc.

Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around; join with sl st in first sc, TURN—16 sc.

Round 3 (RS): Ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), 2 dc in same st as join, ch 2, sk next sc, *3 dc in next sc, ch 2, sk next sc; repeat from * around; join with sl st in first dc—24 dc and 8 ch-2 sp.
