Ha, just trying to be funny as I'm hookin' away at that tunic. Slowly but surely I'm getting through it.  And there is a bit of a learning curve.  Such

New Project!

Remember the lovely new yarn waiting for me?  Have you been guessing my new project?  The pretty spring-summery colors are meant for a new baby (yet to be born).  Looking forward to trying my hand at my first crocheted garment.  There are so many lovely crocheted items out there I'd love to make.  I gotta start somewhere.  What could be easier than

Finished the blanket!  At long last!  And rather than make an edging on just the sides, I did something different:  I took the edging all round the blanket.  I used such bright colours that I thought a full border would look more

How does my blankie grow?  Very well!  It's coming along nicely.  In fact, I'm surprised at how quickly the project has progressed.

I'd say

So are you making something for the Knit and Crochet-Along for Project Linus?  I'm really enjoying the crochet wavy ripple blanket.  The pattern repeat is easy to memorize and I'm loving the bright saturated colours of

So my vest is just about done.  Hurray!  It may not appear as if much time has elapsed, but for me this project dragged on way too long (didn't help that I wasn't feeling well AND lost my

A Little Color after Winter

Are you still feeling the Winter where you live?  'Cuz its definitely still not Spring in my little corner of the world.  So naturally the vest is becoming a welcome respite from the white, gloomy haze of Winter.

I have enjoyed using the Roving so much, I thought I'd try to make an adult garment.  With its bulky weight, I'm hoping the item progresses quickly (I'm already past the ribbing).

Girlie Skull

Nice to finally finish this project.  The crown decreases did indeed progress quickly.  And then the hat sat around on my knitting table and waited . . . and waited . . . and waited.

How Goes the Skull?

So my hat is slowly growing.  What do you think of my progress so far?  I really like the pink skull.  A white one might have contrasted too much with the rich burgundy background.

More Skull Goodness

Buoyed by the success of my skull hat, I thought I'd try a girlie version.  Since my last hat was a wee bit snug, I'm gonna go up in needle size to 6mm just to make sure the sizing is

A wee bit snug--argh!!  I had checked my gauge, but I forgot about intarsia and how colour-work sometimes makes me tighten my gauge **sigh**

Thankfully all is not lost.

Who Doesn't Love a Skull?

That's right!  Skulls are uber-cool and tuff--at least for pre-teen boys.  As my boys get older, they're less impressed with hand-knitted items.  So I have to choose my projects carefully. While flipping through Bernat's e-book for Bernat Roving, the
