Preemie Baby Set - Ready for Charity!

After just a few weeks, the Preemie Garter Stitch Set is finished!

Design found in Bernat's Traditions pattern book, using Bernat Baby Coordinates yarn in "Daisy Yellow".

The jacket was quick work, since I made the smallest size.  The bonnet was even quicker - made in just one night!  Next, the knitting for the booties and mitts were super fast!  All I had left to do was the seaming.

After letting the unseamed items rest for about a week, I finally grabbed my yarn needle and put them together.  It only took about 30 minutes to seam all of them.  Why did I put it off?  Weird. :P

Now, I have a nice preemie baby set, ready to give to charity.  Woo Hoo!

Beautiful! Love the color and love the cause! There is a very special baby out there waiting to wear this comfortable and adorable set.

Thanks Jen! I've mailed the set off to CHOP, and have a warm, fuzzy feeling inside - knowing that a real, live baby will be snuggled up in it soon. :)

I've enjoyed all of the pictures of the afghans. Maybe someday I'll have the time to get mine done. But, I have missed Free Pattern Friday. Are you going to resume that?

I'll let the powers that be know that their Free Pattern Friday is being missed!

Hello again, Karon! Just wanted to let you know that you can always see the newest free Bernat patterns here:

This is so beautiful! Some lucky baby will be so warm and cozy. :)

Thanks Kristin! It's a joy to knit for little ones. :)

Sandy, the finished set is just so cute. Any new parent would be pleased to receive such an item.

Thanks Dina! It's always very satisfying to knit for charity. Especially for little ones. *smile*
