Finding Nemo is on of my favorite movies. Unfortunately, my kids don’t care for it much so I watch it rarely. Dory, voiced by Ellen DeGeneres, has many cute charms but my favorite is how she remains positive at all times. She’s also so forgetful that she really has no choice except to be positive. One of her lines is, “just keep swimming, just keep swimming.” As they continue on a very long journey she keeps saying that over and over.

That’s what an afghan is – a long journey. One has to “just keep knitting, just keep knitting” in order to get to the end of the journey. Frankly if you quit, it won’t ever get done. Funny how that works…

I still haven’t made a decision on how to seam these or what I should use for an edge treatment. Keep your ideas and words of wisdom coming!

Eyes to the future: I know what is next on my needles and I can NOT wait to get my hands on it. Any guesses?

Well, come on over to my house! We all love Finding Nemo and will watch it at the drop of a hat. And it looks like you are making great progress--so, Just Keep Knitting, Knitting, Knitting. And my vote is mattress stitch. Three little words: You've got Boys.

Hi, I am brand new at this, so pardon me if I am doing this incorrectly. I am currently doing Carmela's cardigan and have a question for you. Have done the cable yoke and am confused. It says to "beg at side seam". What does that mean. Do I pick up and knit the 146 stiches from side seam to side seam. Doesn't make any sense to me. I would think that you would pick up and knit all along the yoke. Anyway....would appreciate your help with this as I had a look at your "adventure" with this pattern. Thanks

Hi Shirley - I'll pass your question on to the pattern support people at Patons as well. They should get back to you soon!
