Project - Color Block Scarf
Pattern Book - Luxury Knits #500873
Yarn - Angora Bamboo in Peche, Flax, Sand & Tawny

There are times when I just do not have it together quite enough – ya know what I mean?

I started this sophisticated-looking scarf that involves intarsia. I hate working intarsia. It isn’t the scarf or yarn’s fault, it just is what it is. See in the photo above how terrible the link is between the two colors? This photo was after several frogging sessions. Pretty pathetic I’d say, however, I am simply moving on. Patons Angora Bamboo yarn is way, way too nice to not use it for what I intended. Instead of doing the intarsia work I am altering the pattern slightly to suit me. And I am happily knitting!

The pattern is a simple rib that goes along quickly and the yarn is to die for. Previously I had avoided this yarn as I’m not much into angora but apparently the mix with bamboo (and a little wool) makes it perfect. This would definitely make a pretty cardigan. This particular scarf is to be gifted this December.

Do you knit gifts for friends and family? If so, how are you coming along?
