With the largest components of the Cable Car Coat completed, I've commenced with the cuffs. (Don't you just love alliteration?)

I decided to try a trick many sock and mitten knitters use, and am making both cuffs at the same time, on the same needles. This ensures both pieces will be exactly the same length.

Other than not tangling the two balls of yarn, my biggest challenge is remembering to switch from one skein to the other, which is why I tied a bright scrap of yarn between the cuffs.

Two repeats down, several more yet to do. So far I like knitting the cuffs at the same time. I also like knowing that once I finish the last row, I won't have to start again for the second cuff. It will already be done.

Great idea! I'll have to remember to do that the next time I have to whip up some sleeves!

It's worked out far better than I expected. I've had to untangle the yarn a couple times, but since these cuffs are each only 34 stitches wide, it's not too cumbersome. Definitely worth trying!

ooooh, smart!! I have yet to try/master the 2 socks at once, but rec'd a book for Christmas so it's in my queue to do! I may use your bright yarn idea, just to be on the safe side, as I learn!
